Who doesn’t love a BBQ!? Today Zbreaks and HiRUM hosted a StarBQ to socialise, fundraise and make a difference to the lives of seriously ill children across Australia.

We’re delighted to announce that our sausage sizzle raised over $300 for the Starlight Children’s Foundation!

A StarBQ is Starlight’s own take on one of Australia’s most loved social activities; the barbecue. The only difference is that you’re also helping sick kids!

We got creative and decorated our office yellow and purple for the occasion. Balloons, streamers and dress-ups brought fun and laughter to the event, to show how the Starlight Foundation can bring laughter to seriously ill children across Australia.

It was wonderful to mingle with our HiRUM clients and meet the neighbouring businesses in the area.

While it’s a lot of fun to host a StarBQ (and let’s face it, they’re basically all about having a good time), there’s also a serious reason as to why they’re so important.

If you know what it’s like to have your usually bright, bubbly child’s life become dulled by hospitals and treatments, then you probably also know how important each smile, laugh and point of distraction becomes. That’s where the Starlight Children’s Foundation comes in. One thing makes their work possible – support. Each dollar our StarBQ raised will go towards helping Starlight deliver their programs to brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their families all across Australia. This year, Starlight is aiming to raise a massive $1.3 million to help over 33,000 sick kids and their families, and they really need your help.

If you would like to support the Starlight Children’s Foundation, book your next holiday with Zbreaks. A percentage of each booking will be donated to a charity or organisation of your choice, such as Starlight, at no extra cost to you!
